Reuleaux triangle, curve of constant width
Description:
This is one of the best known Reuleaux models - so called reuleaux triangle is rotating in the square. Notice that it almost covers all square. This property is used to drill almost square holes. It is also used in positive return cams, see models L01-L-06. It is also used in Wankel engine. Notice that triangle does not have a center of rotation. For explanation of the curves you can see on the triangle, see Reuleaux "Kinematics of Machinery".
