Description:
This model is a cam mechanism that converts rotary motion of a crank into oscillating linear motion using a higher pair constraint between a curved square cam and two parallel guides. The cam consists of two planar cams one of which acts in one linear direction while the other is engaged in the other linear direction. The glass plate on the moving link has engraved on it the centrodes of pure rolling. (See also descriptions for models L-1 and L-2.
