This model shows that three point contact constraints will not necessarily constrain the relative motion between two bodies. The duangle is an area bounded by two arcs of a circle. This fascinating model shows that a duangle shaped shaft can rotate in a triangular shaped bearing. In this model, Reuleaux has inscribed on glass the paths of points on the duangle as they move relative to the fixed bearing.
