Description:
In this mechanism two discs with four circumferentially cut grooves are engaged by a hand operated nut and screw pair on the two shafts that are to be coupled. The device forms a friction clutch. The stepped rings on one disc fit into the trapezoidal shaped grooves in the other disc. When the clutch is engaged, the rotary motion of one crank turns the other crank.
