Model: UK002 Double Slider-crank Mechanism
The double slider-crank linkage has four links joined in a kinematic chain consisting of two revolute joints and two sliding or prismatic joints. In this double slider, one sliding constraint is perpendicular to the other. Such devices can be used to convert a circular motion of the crank into an exact sinusoidal motion of the link moving in the fixed linear constraint. This mechanism is sometimes called a “Scotch yoke”.

The model is practically the same as UK001 and abviously made in the workshop of the Polytechnic School at Karlsruhe some years earlier than to be done by Reuleaux at Berlin or at the workshop of the manufacturer Voigt.
