Model: UK037 Reciprocating Gear Mechanism

This mechanism transforms a unidirectional rotational motion in a reciprocating rotational motion via transition from internal to external teeth. This is accomplished with the use of a gear and two pinions, one of which follows the transition from the outer teeth to the inner teeth. Such rotary reversing mechanisms can also be found in the Renaissance notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci.
