Model: Y17 Differential Gear Train Reversing Mechanism
- imagemovie

A differential gear train uses bevel gears to transfer motion from one axis to another collinear axis or to a perpendicular axis. In the model Y-17, a lever mechanism is used to shift a pinion gear on a parallel axis from one spur gear to another thereby reversing the motion. Differential gear trains are used extensively in automotive applications.
