This mechanism consists of a slider prismatic joint and two parallelogram or 'pantagraph' linkages. Reuleaux called it a "Storchschnabel' perhaps because of the bill-like pecking of the end of the large parallelogram during the motion. He gave no inventor or application of this mechanism.
