Model: V10 Belt Drive to Demonstrate Motion Transmision and Slipping Using Five Pairs of Pulley Wheels
This model uses five pulley wheels each on two parallel shafts. There are two belts; one is direct-coupled and the other is twisted to reverse the rotation direction. The crank on each shaft is coupled to only one of the five pulleys on its axis. Also, several pairs of pulley wheels are locked together. By moving the belts between pulleys, one can demonstrate a number of driving and slipping phenomena in belt drives. The German title refers to “Gummirieman” or a rubber belt, but the belt on the existing model appears to be made of leather.
