Model: S25 Lemniscoidal Linkage of Watt (II. and III. Kind)
This is another approximate straight-line linkage, similar to that of James Watt in model S-24. It is a four-link mechanism related to Model C-1. In Model S-24 there are two links that move in pure circular motion and the coupler link between them traces out an approximate straight-line. Here Reuleaux moved one of the rotating links to the left side and demonstrated that a similar approximate straight-line motion is possible. It is not clear what he meant by "II und III Art" or second and third kind, as there is only one model here, except perhaps that one could also move the two rotating links of S-24 to the right side.
